NYSA will be celebrating statewide and holds an annual contest to select the New York Staffing Employee of the Year. We invite you to join in this celebration of the candidates that support the staffing industry in New York.  We ask that your company select is own Staffing Employee of the Year and submit that name to us for the chapter contest.  We must receive all nomination each year by October 15th for your nominee to be considered in the statewide contest. The individual you choose must be an exceptional representative of the staffing industry - a shining example of a staffing success story.  Individuals must represent one or more of ASA's five key messages about temporary employment.  The five key messages include:

Jobs: The staffing industry matches millions of people to millions of jobs every day.

Flexibility: Employees can choose when, where and how they want to work.  Companies can get the skills they need to keep fully staffed during busy times.

Bridge: Temporary and contract work provides a bridge to permanent employment.  People can try out a prospective employer and showcase their skills for a permanent job.

Choice: Many people choose temporary and contract work as a preferred employment option.  They can select their work schedules and choose among a variety of diverse and challenging assignments.

Training: The staffing industry provides free training for millions of temporary and contract employees to help meet today's demand for skilled workers. 

All nominees and the state finalist will be announced at the Annual Membership meeting.  Please take this opportunity to help us promote our industry on a statewide basis.  Companies are only allowed to submit one entry per year.  The New York Staffing Employee of the Year receives a beautiful engraved apple paperweight from Tiffany and Company, recognition in the NYSA Newsletter and website, as well as several other gifts from Industry Partners.   The winner will also be invited to compete in the American Staffing Association's National Staffing Employee of the Year for national recognition. 

This is a fantastic way to give recognition to your outstanding candidates and let them know ho much you appreciate their dedication and commitment to your firm.  We encourage you to participate, to have fun and to help make this program a success for all.
